BECE KICK-STARTS IN YILO KROBO MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY

The nationwide Basic Education Certificate Examination(BECE) organizes by the West African Examination Council(WAEC) starts today, Monday, 4th May, 2026.

Two Thousand, Two Hundred and Forty- Seven(2,247) candidates from Eighty-One(81) schools comprising Fifty-five Public Schools and Twenty-Six(26) Private Schools will sit for the examination. The Yilo Krobo Municipal Assembly has Ten(10) examination centres. Among the 2,247 candidates, One Thousand, One Hundred and Ten(1,110) are males while One Thousand, One Hundred and Thirty- Seven(1,137) are females.

In the Fifty-five(55) Public Schools in the Municipality, there are One Thousand, Nine Hundred and Twenty-Seven(1927) Candidates comprising Nine Hundred and Fifty-Five(955) male candidates and Nine Hundred and Seventy-Two(972) female candidates. On the other hand, there are Three Hundred and Twenty(320) candidates from the Twenty-Six (26) Private schools comprising One Hundred and Fifty-five(155) males and One Hundred and Sixty-Five(165) females.
