GHANA WATER COMPANY LIMITED (GWCL) MANAGER OUTLINES PLANS TO TACKLE WATER SHORTAGE IN YILO KROBO MUNICIPALITY.

The Manager of Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) in the municipality, Mr. Jones Seneadza, spoke about the measures that had been put in place to address the acute water shortage in the municipality. He admitted challenges such low pressure as a result of water passing through, Asuogyaman, and Lower Manya before getting to Somanya, building on pipelines by individuals, and destruction of their pipelines by road contractors. He also talked about the installation of prepaid meters for public stand pipes from Somanya to Agormanya. He continued that aside the GWCL customer App, now customers can use the short code *1010# to make payment for water bills or check statement.
The National Identification Authority District Officer, Mr. Ayertey Paul Teye, spoke comprehensively about the qualification, requirements, and procedures to acquire the Ghana card. He continued that registration and issuance of cards to new applicants remain free of charge but cards replacement and update attract 125 and 60 cedis respectively.
In his closing remarks, the PM, Mr. Tengey, thanked the MCE, Hon. Francis Addo Akumatey, the Municipal Coordinating Director, Madam Antoinette Joyce Kulevo and all the Assembly members present and also encouraged them to continue working together towards the realization of their shared vision for development of the Municipality.
