The Central Administration Department serves as the Secretariat of the Yilo Krobo Municipal Assembly and is responsible for providing support services, as well as ensuring effective and efficient general administration and organisation of the Assembly.

The Department is headed by the Municipal Coordinating Director or Deputy Director, who oversees the coordination of administrative functions and supports the implementation of Assembly decisions.

Municipal Planning, Budgeting and Coordination Unit (MPCU)

The Municipal Planning, Budgeting and Coordination Unit (MPCU) is responsible for coordinating, monitoring, and evaluating the preparation, implementation, and appraisal of development plans and budgets of the Municipal Assembly, its Decentralised Departments, and the Central Administration.

The Unit comprises the following sections:

  • Municipal Planning
  • Municipal Budget Preparation
  • Monitoring and Evaluation

The MPCU is headed by the Municipal Coordinating Director and plays a critical role in aligning development programmes with national and local priorities.

Management Information Systems (MIS) Unit

The Management Information Systems (MIS) Unit is responsible for research activities and the management of information systems within the Yilo Krobo Municipal Assembly.

The Unit serves as the Assembly’s data repository and includes:

  • Research
  • Management Information Systems
  • Information Services

The MIS Unit supports evidence-based decision-making and is headed by the Management Information Systems Officer. It ensures accurate data collection, storage, and analysis to support planning and reporting activities across the entire Municipal Assembly.

Internal Audit Division

The Internal Audit Division is responsible for planning and conducting internal audits within the Assembly. It also coordinates the activities of internal audit units in accordance with the Internal Audit Agency Act, 2003. The Division operates using standards, practices, and principles set by the Internal Audit Agency to ensure accountability, transparency, and compliance. The Unit is headed by a Director of Internal Audit, supported by an Assistant Internal Auditor.
